So for the past two years Mother's Day was spent with the family having brunch at my Grandparent's house, eating yummy foods and opening cards/presents from Leni. This year though, was completely - 180 degree - different. I SPENT MOTHER'S DAY IN THE HOSPITAL.
I was out with the man, and we were heading back to his place. I wanted to lay down for a bit because I felt weird. Then after a bit I got up to go use the bathroom, as I sat on the toilet I started shaking so bad due to the horrible pain I was having in my girly bits (it felt like somebody was stabbing me from uterus to vag). After a bit I got up and started dry heaving. The man got me dressed and promptly drove me to the ER despite my objections.
I'm glad he did. Turns out I had a horrible PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) from my IUD. The IUD was removed and I stayed in the hospital from Sunday to just a few hours ago, being pumped full of any and every antibiotic under the sun to stave off the infection. My family and myself are SO GRATEFUL he forced me to come to the ER. I just wanted to go home and lay down in bed, who knows what would have happened had that gone down.
So though my Mother's Day was far from perfect - I hadn't seen Leni since Saturday night and finally saw her today; the longest we've spent apart since she entered this world - I cherished every moment of it. And plan to have a redo soon ;)
Oh my goodness! How scary! I'm so glad you're okay now and it wasn't anything more serious!!
