Schnepf Farms
So in all my 12 years that I've been living in Arizona, I've never been to Schnepf Farms. It's a working farm in the FAR east Valley in Queen Creek, it's like 40+ years old I think (I'd look it up, but I'm in lazy Sunday evening mode... and The Walking Dead is starting soon). The news I watch in the mornings goes out every year - they help sponsor it - and I've always wanted to go. Well yesterday we went.
I went with my sisters, Lennon, my dad... his lady friend and some of her family (youngest daughter, granddaughter, and niece). It was SO MUCH FUN! I'm surprised we stayed there for 5 hours, and that Lennon did SO good without a nap during that time.
My favorite part was the U-Pick Pumpkin patch, the fact that it's a REAL working farm (they have different fruits/veggies to pick year round), the sunflowers they had growing, and that it was a great escape from the city. There was SO MUCH to do, like SO much. We probably did 45% of what the farm had to offer (pumpkins, food, ponies, petting zoo, a few rides and the corn maze).
Lennon's favorite part was the pony ride. Her horse was named "Patches" but she renamed him "Bo" (after my sister Becca's dog). Actually any animal that happens to be black and white is renamed Bo, wether they like it or not or Lennon knows they have another name haha.
