MJ's Wish List

Christmas is just a month (!!!!) away... and usually I've started buying presents for Lennon by this point... but since I had Brother 6 weeks ago, present buying has fallen to the wayside.  That and I have NO CLUE what to buy a hatchling for his first Christmas (you'd think I'd know, since his big sister was about the same age he will be on his First Christmas).  So I finally compiled a short list of things I'd know he'd love to have (and maybe a few me and A would like for him to have as well).

Adventures in Ikea

So today I decided that Lennon and I should take a trip down to Ikea - it's like a 45 minute drive to get there - for some last minute [and super inexpensive] Christmas shopping for her Nana, Papa, GGma and GGpa <3
On our way to Ikea; yes my child is eating her sunnies xD

When we got to Ikea, I had a screaming banshee of a child - due to her being OMGSTARVINGZZ, so we ate in the cafe there.  We shared the Swedish Meatballs and Mashed Potatoes, and by "share" I mean Lennon ate all but 4, which were of course left for me :P

Thoroughly entertained with her juice box
After we ate, we perused the store for a bit until we got to where I needed to buy the last of our Christmas gifts.  Literally RIGHT AFTER I paid for our stuff, Lennon proceeds to throw up on the floor *facepalm*.  How embarrassing and the guy that was working at Ikea that had to clean it up, I felt bad for him because it smelled SO NASTY!  I don't think the mashed potatoes were in Lennon's favor - and not in mine either because my stomach is killing me as I type - so now she is resting up in bed and I'm off to finish cleaning Sabrina's bathroom before I move my stuff into it [again].

Hope everybody has a good Friday!

The holidays are fast approaching...

Halloween has come and gone - and it was quite a fun one this year, what with Lennon and me dressing up as leopards and trick-or-treating with NO success - and Thanksgiving is just around the corner.  Literally, we are celebrating Thanksgiving this Saturday since Sabrina and my dad are going to be out of town on the actual holiday.  So on Saturday we are spending the day at my grandparents house; filling up on turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, rolls, green beans, and countless pies [well maybe only a couple, but one can dream right?]  On the actual holiday of Thanksgiving, we - grandpa, grandma, mom, Lennon and I - are going to spend the morning making baked goods.  I still have yet to choose something to pick to bake - I'm torn between this, this or this.

And not soon after Thanksgiving is over, it's going to be Christmas; Lennon's second Christmas, but her first one being an active participant and not a "pet rock" like she was last year [though I do miss the days of her sleeping anywhere, particularly on me].  This year I plan on getting her a Christmas outfit for her Build-A-Bear, her Christmas Eve pajamas, a Zoobie, and some more books.  I don't have too much to spend on her, plus she got so much on her first birthday just last month that she really doesn't need much in the way of toys.  I can't wait to see her open her stocking from Santa and opening the presents that me, Nana and Papa, Aunt Bina, Aunt Becca, and GGpa and GGma got her this year <3

What's everybody planning on getting their little ones this year?

Boo Hoo

HUGE Mommy fail.  I didn't take ANY pictures of Lennon on her First Christmas; I'm so dissappointed in myself.  I mean, yeah she won't remember it but I'm pretty sure my parents have pictures - somewhere - of me on my First Christmas.

Anyways, enough Debbi Downer.  Lennon made out like a BANDIT on Christmas.  Grandma and Grandpa O got her a LeapFrog Caterpiller toy that hooks on her crib and plays classical music, her First Valentine's Day pajamas, and my baby dishes set that they had all this time.  Nana and Papa (my parents) got her a Winnie-The-Pooh Spinning top, Fisher Price block sorter, 8 board books and a First Christmas ornament.  Sabrina and Allen got her a Tigger onesie and a Minnie Mouse bib from Disneyland.  And I got her 5 onesies, 3 pairs of pants, 1 fleece hoody, a Cabbage Patch Doll, 2 board books, Fisher Price My First Tea Set, Patch the LeapFrog learning dog, and her First Christmas ornament.

She slept through the majority of the opening of presents in the morning, and was a super fussy butt when we opened the rest when Sabrina and Allen got back from Disneyland.  Santa brought her 2 rattles, a hippo and a bunny, that she just LOOOOOOOOVES the death out of.  She can actually hold onto them (:  She laughs and smiles so big at them too.

<3 Me and Leni hope the rest of you had a very Merry Christmas <3
