Hiatus

I took a brief and unplanned hiatus from the blogging world.  My co-worker, and good friend Haley, had her baby - Dahlia - in the middle of July and I assumed all her shifts while she was on maternity leave.  She'll be back middle of this month and I'll be working less, which means more time for Leni.  I miss staying home and doing nothing with her <3  I feel like lately - especially the weeks I'm working every night - our routine is wake up, get dressed, drop her off at school, come home, get ready for work, go to work, come home, sleep... wash, rinse, repeat.

But, I'm back.  And I've been doing this 30 Day Photo Challenge the past few days to associate myself with my camera again, I've missed my second baby :)

Going back to school

I got accepted to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh [it's all online] for their Photography Bachelor's degree program (:  I start on November 11th of this year.  I've put in my transcripts from high school and Glendale Community College already, filled out my FASFA, submitted the Mastor Promisary Note and Loan Aggrement.  Now I just sit back and wait to see if I get an scholarships (:  My counselor, Thad, thinks I can get atleast one scholarship to help pay for school.  I'm so excited that I am going back to school.  I know it's going to be harder, with it being online and all... but with work and having Lennon, it's the best option for me.  I applied for a credit card from Wal-Mart on Thursday night [just on a whim] and was accepted for a credit limit of $850.00 which I'm going to use to buy myself a new DSLR.  I have my heart set on the Nikon D3000 kit from Wal-Mart [2 lenses, bag, book, memory card].  I just need to buy a tripod, and a few other things that I'm going to have to save up for [I have a list of all the things I'm going to need for my 2 years of schooling].  I can't wait to start school, I am so passionate about this - my dream is to have an in-home studio in the forseable future <3
