Hello *wipes away cobwebs*

Anybody still here? *crickets*

Well I guess it's time for an update, since the last one was about 7 months ago... in December.  Yeah life got in the way.  I'm working full-time, I was doing school (didn't do so hot at that so it's on the back burner for now), juggling the house/relationship with A/running around after the two kids... but it's been all worth it :)

So I guess you'll want to know what's going on with the kids' lives. Right?

Lennon as one of her alter-egos, Grandma Riddle.
Lennon's been in pre-pre-kindergarten (redundant, I know) at a really great school my Grandpa found for her.  She loves it, I love it, her teachers are great.  We recently got an email that she's being bumped up to actual pre-kindergarten on August 4th... then after a year of that KINDERGARTEN!!!!  I'm totally not ready for her to go to public school, if it were possible I'd actually homeschool her.  She's about 42" tall and 38ish pounds (only 13 pounds heavier than Maddox !!).  When she's not at school she's either playing with her princess dolls and castle, or with Daddy and her Lego Movie legos.  She'll play with Maddox more now that he can actually interact with her toys, but I think she mostly does it because we ask her to.  She loves Frozen, The Lego Movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (if you ask her, Raphael is her favorite), cuddles, watermelon, and new clothes.

Hanging out in the rocking chairs at Cracker Barrel

Maddox is 9 months old now - and about the size of a small 2 year old.  No joke, the kid is in 2T size clothes now... I seriously missed out on the baby stage with this one.  He's going to be playing football by the time he turns 2, defensive line.  At his appointment last week he was 24 pounds and 30" long with a 19" head.  So he's big and full of brains.  He's crawling EVERYWHERE and pulling himself up onto everything.  We can't have him completely mobile in the living room so he runs amuck in his walker, which is fine b/c then he can't turn the Xbox on and off about a million and a half times.  He's decided that naps are lame and staying up until 8-9pm being a complete crabby patty is the bees knees.  We did baby-led solids, which is working out great since I don't have to feed him THEN myself (totally selfish, but the kid hated purees anyway) or the rest of the family.  So far he's had : steak, pot roast, green beans, potatoes, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, peas, lima beans, watermelon, chicken, taco meat, cheese, Cheerios, yogurt, popsicles, fudgesicles, turkey sandwich, cheese quesadilla, muffins, pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, and a ton of other foods he's sampled off my plate.

And the last update I'll leave y'all with...

I'm pregnant... again.  Hush hush, yeah it was totally unexpected - considering I didn't find out I was pregnant until I was 21 weeks along, thanks body - but it's welcome.  We've had time to adjust to the fact that we are adding another baby, another baby BOY in fact, to the circus.  I'm due at the end of September, and won't be releasing baby's name until then, so for now he shall be referred to as baby Tres :)

I'm completely miserable, have the WORST acid reflux I've had out of all 3 pregnancies, and I think this one just had a growth spurt b/c food is now a mortal enemy due to lack of room I've got going on.

But that's it for now, though I'd update all 6 of you who follow me on my life currently.

Two Months!

As of last Friday, you are two months old.  At two months old you are rocking 3-6 month clothes and some 6-9 month clothes.  You've upgraded to size 3 diapers, and you eat 4 oz of formula every 2-4 hours (sometimes more if you're going through a growth spurt).  At your well-visit on Monday you were measuring 24 inches long, 13 pounds 6 ounces, and had a head circumference of 16 inches!  You're officially as big as your big sister was at 4 months old!

What you're loving at the moment...
1. Fart noises
2. Going outside
3. When Daddy tickles you
4. The "Don't Worry, Be Happy" song
5. Walking around the house with Mommy or Daddy
6. Snuggling with Mommy
7. Christmas lights

What you're not digging lately...
1. Your sister
2. Being cold
3. When you can't figure out how to suck your thumb
4. Daddy's sneezes
5. Sudden, loud noises (see above ;) )
6. Your car seat

What's been going on around here lately...

So I've totally been neglecting this blog, it's hard to sit up anymore, and especially when I'm at home the laptop is at our dining room table and the chairs give me swamp ass in the summer... hot I know.

So I'm just nearing 36 weeks, and I've only had one trip to L&D this pregnancy.  On Wednesday I lost my mucous plug (and thought my waters were leaking) so I went in to get shit checked out.  I felt like a FTM all over again, we were there for maybe an hour and then was sent home.

I don't know what really to talk about - currently having some pretty strong (but irregular) contractions so here is a photo dump!

Still contracting, and they are still irregular but getting a bit stronger.

About my haitus

So I haven't blogged much since December, when we had the blighted ovum and D&C situation going on, so I wanted to update.

After Christmas, Adrian and I moved in together with Lennon.  We live in a small two-bedroom apartment not far from where I'm currently working, which is great since we share my car at the moment.  They drop me off and pick me up from work, it works for us for now.

In February, the day before Adrian's 28th birthday, we found out we were expecting again.  I had been feeling nauseous and exhausted and had sore boobs from the end of January/beginning of February but chalked them up to finally getting my period after the D&C.  Two pregnancy tests later confirmed that I was in fact pregnant.  I was shocked, as was Adrian, but we were happy and accepted this welcome change in our lives.

I'm due in October, either the 17th or the 21st (Lennon's birthday) depending on which doctor at my OB office you talk to.  That makes me 16 weeks 5 days or 16 weeks 1 day right now.  I'm still nauseous, still exhausted (what happened to the energy you're supposed to get in the second trimester, huh?!) and in 16 days we will find out if we're having a boy or a girl.

Peanut Butter Jelly Time!

So yesterday Leni and I spent the day with my friend Haley and her 2 year old Ember.  First we went to breakfast at Mimi's Cafe (which has THE BEST MUFFINS, EVER!  Seriously, they are HUGE and delicious!) then went to the park to let our girls get their crazies out.  I'm so glad Mimi's is relatively loud and it was kind of busy yesterday, as both girls were chasing each other around the table... playing under the table... climbing up and down the high chairs.  Yeah I'm that mom.  Leni wasn't screaming, and if she did start getting out of control... I threatened no park with Emmy, and she quieted down real quick.  I took a few pics of them at the park, but none together...

{20 months old}

Today marks Lennon's 20th month in this world.  I can't believe in 4 short months, my little girl is going to be two years old!  She's such a funny little girl, I love this age.  She talks so much, and is so expressive!  She is constantly cracking me up.  Her latest phrase that she loves to say is "Come on!"... Leni says it to anybody and everybody (me, her Nana and Papa, the dogs LOL).  She knows how to push my buttons too, but it just makes me love her all the more <3

Massive Update {read "photo heavy"}

Sorry I haven't updated in almost a month, a lot of things have been going on around here.  First, on March 29th, I had my wisdom teeth removed (all three of them, yes I only had three).  I had to be knocked out 4 times during the 2 hour surgery AND they had to dislocate and slice open my jaw on the left side to get to those two teeth.  It took forever for all the bruises to heal up and my mouth is still a little tender on the left side.  Everything is healed up though, so that's good.  And I've lost about 30 pounds so far since then, due to not being able to eat meat (it kills my stomach) so now I'm pretty much a vegetarian - which I don't mind (:  I've got more energy now!

I'm also (finally) filing for child support from Lennon's father (aka "sperm donor").  In the *lovely* state of Arizona (insert eye roll here) it is going to cost me $300, JUST TO FILE.  My best friend works for a family law firm, so my next day off I'm going to go talk to one of the lawyers there and see what he can do to get the fee waived.  I'm not looking forward to this process, as I predict lots of court dates... but it will be worth it in the end when Lennon gets the financial support she deserves from him.

Speaking of Lennon, as of April 21st she turned 18 months old.  She is no longer considered a baby, and is a full on toddler.  She speaks in full sentences, runs instead of walks, and is pretty much hilarious 24/7 - well more like 20/7, a few of those hours are dedicated to her temper tantrums.

And now on to the pictures!

17 Months Old

My little Princess is 17 months old
[as of March 21st]

I can't believe she's 7 months away from her 2nd birthday, it makes me happy and sad at the same time.  I love how she's developing her own personality and hate how she isn't my little baby anymore.  Lennon has been sick the past week with a viral infection in her lungs - she's super congested and snotty nosed - but that hasn't stopped her from being her usual active self.  She's now RUNNING everywhere, and insists upon having her "softy" - currently her pink Winnie-The-Pooh blanket - wrapped around her shoulders like a shawl.  Baby dolls must be swaddled for bedtime, and outside play is a MUST daily!  Her new favorite snack is Ritz, which she calls "cookies".  Elmo and Mickey are her favorite shows, and she's taken to copying me when I play Just Dance 2 on the Wii [video of this will come someday].  Happy 17 months old Pumpkin, Mommy loves you <3

Lennon Update

So Lennon is going to be 10 months old tomorrow!
I can't believe in 2 months she's going to be 1, that makes me both happy and sad inside.  My little baby is growing up so fast!
Here are what she's doing now a days...

  • crawling at the speed of a bullet
  • pulling herself up onto furniture
  • cruising furniture
  • standing unassisted for a few seconds
  • saying more words "mama" "hey" "potato" "baba" "nana" "papa"
  • raising her hands in the air and yelling "yayyyyy"
  • dancing
  • eating more "grown-up" food.  Her favorite meal so far is penne pasta with alfredo sauce and peas <3
We're working on clapping, but she just looks at me like I've gone crazy.
She's still the best sleeper, though lately she's been waking up at 10pm [she goes to bed at 7pm] to want to be rocked back to sleep... I think her two top teeth are FINALLY coming in.  I've noticed the "cuts" for a week and a half now, but no nubs are showing through.

That's all for now, I should shower real quick while she's napping... hope everybody had a good week :D

7 Months Old

Lennon turned  7 months old on Friday [May 21st].

She is FINALLY sitting up unassisted, I've had to break out the pack-n-play to contain her as she likes to roll/inchworm/scoot EVERYWHERE!  She thinks it's funny to be in there, especially when she scratches the mesh [which is murder to my ears, and everybody elses'].  Leni cracks up at everything:  noises, smiles, just looking at her, feeding, falling over, toots, sneezes, she's quite the ham.
She's up to 3 meals a day, usually.  Oatmeal & fruit for breakfast, veggie & fruit for lunch, and oatmeal & veggie for dinner; and every meal is finished!

Teething has still been a nightmare, nothing has popped up yet but I expect it to happen soon as she's getting more and more cranky and won't sleep some nights without some Motrin ):

Naptimes in her crib have been going awesome the past month.  It's becoming more of a routine to lay her down for naps - 10am, 2pm, 4pm; and she still goes down to bed at around 7:30pm and wakes up at 8am xD  I have the best baby; sure some days are hell, but her smile just melts me.

Hope everybody is doing well!
